ok, a bit morbid, god forbid, many years to come before that..what would you tell your nearest and dearest to prepare...for me would be "one better day" by madness and "the downtown lights" by the blue nile...i was thinking of "the last goodbye" or "halleluiah" by jeff buckley too so there you go and im sure a few amusing alternatives wouldnt go amiss, john

Vletrmx21 by Autechre...really, really sad.

I'm not quite sure what constitutes appropriate funeral music, though.

Like Cornelius Agrippa, I am god, I am hero, I am philosopher, I am demon and I am world, which is a tedious way of saying that I do not exist.

true, especially if your parents are there and its a rock song and they'd vvy for something more suitable which is something you hate. My sister died four years ago and her boyfriend chose a david gray and will young song each, im sure they werent her all time favourites but then its not normal to decide these things before hand, my wife wants "sympathy for the devil" by the stones..in the end its what appropriate for the guests more than yourself as you'll never know whether your choices got played or not. j

Definitely "Burning Hell" by John Lee Hooker - I've heard enough Jesus blathering at funerals & I'd like to use mine to educate people a bit instead of giving them another spoonful of superstitious saccharin.

Not morbid at all, simply a fact of life.

Mine would have to be Your Time Is Near from the Caesars' album Paper Tigers: I was working in Africa when I got the news that my Father had passed away. I listened to that album all the way home and the lyrics really hit home.
