Russian band with an international name “Everything is made in China” exists about 3 years. Before their first gig guys from “EIMIC” spend more than a year at their rehearsal studio composing tracks and training techniques. Their first demo tracks appeared in the Internet spontaneously: a friend from producer faculty asked to record a soundtrack for her final film. After demo appearing in the Internet Russian indie-music fans were surprised pleasantly and there were lots of positive comments on “EIMIC’s” first demo tracks. After that all gigs were very successful and always full.In May 2007 EIMIC decided to record their first full album, but they faced a problem: there are no such studios in Moscow ready to work with the kind of music guys played. All sound engineers who qualified in indie music were booked already too. So guys sent about ten letters to different sound studios around the world. They were really surprised after getting almost all letters replied and inviting them to record their album. EIMIC made a decision to go to Canada for 3 months to record their first album called “4”. It was the first time Russian indie band going abroad to record their music. Canadian studio “Chemical Sound” is famous for their sound engineers Dean Marino and Jay Saldovski, also for successful records of “C’mon”, ”Attack in black”, “Goodspeed! YouBlack Emperor”, etc.All together they recorded an album that after presentation in Moscow and St. Petersburg was called by press “Best indie band of the year”.Russian promoters often invite “Everything is made in China” as an opening act for international artists, thus, “EIMIC played with “65 Days of static”, “The Red Snappers”, and there are also gigs planned with “Explosions in the sky” and “The broken Social Scene”. Reason for that is European style and quality of music Russian guys play.All gigs of EIMIC are very remarkable performances, it is always accompanied by Modest’s (Ilya Kolesnikov Art master) video art.
